Here in the heart of Umbria, where weaving is a traditional craft that dates right back to the Middle Ages. Here, where the most noble of fibres was first worked by skilled local artisans in the nineteenth century, when it was discovered and brought to Europe by the English merchants of the East India Company. Here, where FIORONI has worked since 1978, fully respecting hundreds of years of knowhow handed down from one generation to the next together with the local area, drawing inspiration from a natural beauty that benefits from the unique properties of the waters of the lake itself while, with a profound sense of ethics, respecting its ecosystem.
