ACCOUNT EXECUTIVE - CHICAGO COLLECTIVE MEN’S
Position Summary:
The Account Executive position is responsible for selling temporary exhibit space for the Chicago Collective Men’s apparel tradeshow at THE MART. The role involves managing accounts, building relationships, and finding new business. Key duties include maintaining customer connections year-round to understand their event needs. The ideal candidate is goal-oriented, tracks progress, and meets sales targets, engaging with customers through email, phone, and in-person meetings.
Role/Duties:
Engages with existing accounts through calls, emails, virtual and in-person meetings to sell event participation, aiming to drive sales and achieve revenue targets.
Assists accounts throughout the contract process, addressing concerns and resolving issues, while preparing customers for the event.
Manage existing customer relationships and develop strategies to ensure continued participation.
Achieves sales targets.
Regularly seeks out and actively engages with new leads and targets.
Works with the Vice President to properly merchandise the exhibitor floorplan.
Adopts a consultative approach with clients, striving to fully understand their brands goals and strategies.
Establishes strong industry credibility by actively attending trade shows and other industry events.
Support Finance by helping to collect outstanding deposits or balances.
Entering show contracts and collecting data for show directory.
Handles various on-site responsibilities, including ensuring that freight is delivered to account’s booths, collaborating with operations to address set-up, reviewing signage, confirming booth placement is correct, meeting with all exhibitors to provide exceptional customer service and ensuring compliance with all show rules.
Travel is required
This is an in-office position
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in related field
5+ years in B2B fashion brand sales or event sales - or a combination of education and experience
Experience in tradeshow or fashion sales
Extreme detail-orientation and thoroughness, with top-notch follow-up skills
Expertise with Excel, Word
